Bahh Tee – 33 EP Cover Series
Commissioned by Atlantic Records, I was tasked with creating the full cover art series for rapper Bahh Tee’s 33 EP – an intimate project marking the artist’s 33rd birthday. The visual identity needed to reflect the personal, introspective tone of the five-track release, with each song serving as a standalone narrative.
I approached the project as a conceptual illustration cycle, where each cover became a visual parable, inspired by the emotional and thematic core of its corresponding track. The series explores identity, legacy, time, and inner conflict – told through stark, symbolic imagery.
Each artwork was created entirely by hand, using black acrylic paint on large-format 100×100 cm aluminum composite panels. The physicality of the process was integral to the concept, grounding the work in raw emotion and material presence before being digitized for streaming and media use.
The final visuals form a cohesive yet varied visual system – each cover standing on its own, while also contributing to the broader visual language of the album. The project was met with acclaim for its bold, minimalistic direction and powerful symbolic storytelling.
