The Keeper – Circle of Light Festival 2016

For the 2016 Circle of Light Festival in Moscow, I served as Art Director and Concept Artist for The Keeper – a monumental projection mapping show displayed on the main building of Moscow State University. The project was produced in collaboration with Dobro CCS and Sila Sveta, with whom I worked as part of the creative leadership team.

My role spanned early concept development, narrative direction, storyboarding, concept art and art direction, helping to craft the overarching visual arc and design language of the show. The story explored themes of light, memory, and guardianship – translated through large-scale animated sequences that enveloped the building’s colossal facade.

I developed key visual concepts and moodboards, led creative sessions, and ensured continuity between narrative pacing and visual transitions throughout the 30-minute production. The final result was both technically and artistically groundbreaking – earning two Guinness World Records for scale and light output.

Highlights:

  • Directed visual narrative and thematic worldbuilding
  • Created comprehensive storyboards and concept designs for large-scale animation
  • Part of the creative team behind a world-record-breaking media art project
  • Projection mapped onto a surface over 25,000 square meters

Awards: 2x Guinness World Records
